TITLE: Professional Discussion

ASSESSMENT

Completion of this work will satisfy the following learning outcomes from module BMS409

LO4:   Evaluate personal performance as an innovator to enable the development of future personal innovation skills and knowledge.

TASK

You are to utilise the research and activities completed for this module to identify the skills and knowledge required to be an innovator. Within your professional discussion consider the importance of innovation knowledge and skills in a work-based context using business examples. Based on this research evaluate your own personal performance as an innovator and consider opportunities where you can develop and improve your innovative practice over time.   LO4

The judgments and conclusions you have drawn from your research will form the basis of a discussion with your tutor.   Within the discussion you will be required to provide a range of supporting evidence to underpin your commentary and responses to questions. You are required to produce a maximum of 10 slides with supporting notes (1,000 words +/- 10%).

Other relevant assessment information

· You will need to include and reference at least 4 different sources including 2 academic text books and 1 academic journal that help provide supporting evidence for any assertions that you make. For higher grades, you will need to incorporate academic theory relevant to the points you make (use real life examples from business that back up the theory). You must include both a reference list and bibliography with your supporting notes.

· The completion of your work will satisfy 25% of the assessment weighting for this module.  Your discussion may take place in person or online, it will be recorded. Your supporting notes should be submitted online, through Turnitin, via the student portal prior to the discussion taking place.
