There are two summative assessments for this module:

  • A1 – In-class online test (50%)
  • A2 – Group Presentation (50%)

This assessment will take place over weeks 8 and 16.

This assessment will take place over weeks 7-8, and 16. The grade for these assessments will be based on fulfilling all assessments criteria. Summative assessment will take place in weeks 8 and 16 respectively. Students must achieve a minimum mark of 40% to pass the module and achieve 20 academic credits at Level 4.

There is no draft submission for A1 given that this is an in-class test, but students will have an opportunity for a one-to-one feedback and discussion in week 5 and a mock exercise in week 6 before the deadline in week 7.

Formative assessment for A2 will take place in weeks 10 – 12. Students will have opportunities to submit their assessment drafts for formative feedback in week 11 for A2 (Group PowerPoint presentation). Students will then modify their assessments based on the tutor’s feedback before final submission for A2 via Blackboard at the end of week 16.

For guidance on online submission of assignments, including how to submit and how to access online feedback, please refer to the UWL Blackboard student- help pages at: http://www.uwl.ac.uk/blackboardhelp
