BUSI 4310 International Business Project Description
Project due in Blackboard on November 21, 2022
Product: Household Refrigerator
I. Purpose and Task
The purpose of the project is to familiarize you with the international business environment by evaluating three countries based on a few criteria. Your analysis will help the company decide to enter a specific country.Assume yourself to be an international business manager of a company producing various types of consumer and industrial products. One of the products that your company produces is a household refrigerator.
Your task is to make a preliminary International Business Environment Analysis for the product in 3 countries of the world. The countries are Kenya, Malaysia, and Peru. You cannot the change countries.
II. Project Approval and Group
This is a group work. Groups have been assigned randomly by Blackboard. If your name is not there in any of the groups, let me know; I will assign you. You must not proceed without my approval. S/elect a leader. Leader of the group will be your primary liaison with me. S/he will submit the project electronically in Blackboard on behalf of the group. You are advised to use class time and office hours for the project; emails should not be substituted for project related questions.
I expect you to work in groups, as closely as possible. Team spirit and intra-group cooperation is essential for success. Get along and avoid group conflicts. Try to develop a favorable culture from the beginning. Divide the work and work together. Various tools in Blackboard can be used for group collaboration.
All members in the group should contribute equally and shall receive the same grade. No free ride. If you opt for differential grading, then use the peer evaluation form and attach it with the project. Peer evaluation form must be signed by all members of the group and submitted with the project. Again, peer evaluation is OPTIONAL and should be used for differential grading only.
You cannot change the group without prior approval from me. In extraneous circumstances, I will allow individual submission; will explain this in class. This must be decided during the first week of the course. No change will be allowed after a decision has been made.
III Group and Peer Evaluation
If you opt for differential grading, then use the following peer evaluation form. Submit this peer evaluation with the project. Again, peer evaluation is OPTIONAL and should be used for differential grading only. You must not allow any free riding; students should get what they deserve.
