The United Kingdom is experiencing a recession, and the Prime Minister has sought your opinion on adopting the construction industry as a tool to revive the nation`s economy. You are requested to conduct extensive research on the factors contributing to the current recession and examine the impact of the construction supply chain on macroeconomic components. Additionally, the Prime Minister has recently become aware of the transformative potential of technologies driven by the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) in the construction industry and has requested your perspective on their impact on employment and housing provision. Further details expected in your essay are presented in the table below.(100 marks)
General Requirements
You are expected to follow the factors or criteria in the table below and you can also add more criteria as deemed appropriate. The purpose of this essay is to reflect on the practical application of concepts taught in class and to provide the reader with both practical and theoretical knowledge regarding the relation between the construction industry and the macroeconomic objectives.
An appendix can be included in addition to the word limit if required but this should not include detail that would normally be expected within the main body of the essay.
A comprehensive reference list must be included. References should be made to all information sources used and these should be in the Harvard referencing style.
