You will submit a narrated poster presentation, in a format of your choice, which lasts a maximum of 15 minutes 

The content of the poster should identify, analyse and make recommendations on a live issue in the field of business leadership – many of these will be studied over the course of the module but you will only be expected to focus on one main theme, however, subordinate themes will also relevant to your discussion.Develop an understanding of critically informed knowledge regarding the role of leadership in contemporary organisations

In depth guidance and examples will be provided in lecture and tutorial time.

 Poster:

  • The poster needs to be recorded in PowerPoint.
  • You can lay the poster out in any way that you like but remember is it NOT an essay or a slide presentation and should be balanced with text, images, graphs or charts.
  • Pictures/ diagrams help the reader understand the poster. They can be useful to break up large chunks of text.
  • There is no word limit, but you must balance the need for enough information and not making the poster look like an essay.
  • You must include a list of references on the poster; this should include any references to pictures used

Format:

  • The Poster should be made and recorded using PowerPoint.
  • It is supposed to be a poster and not a slide presentation. Therefore, it should be on ONE slide. You can add an extra slide to include your reference list if you can not fit this on the main poster.
  • Please ensure that the recorded voiceover is clear, that there are no sound issues, and that none of the content is set to private or password protected. Tutors need to be able to see the poster clearly and to hear it clearly. Critically evaluate the contribution of theories, concepts, practice and research relating to leadership and its development

Outlay of the poster, including layout, structure and referencing – 25% Clear introduction – 10

Clear explanation and critical discussion of the main topic and associated topics in relation to a live business leadership issue – 50%
