TASK

By being able to reflect upon your own performance and assess what could have been done differently allows you to grow both professionally and personally. Within this assignment you are expected to set short, medium, and long-term goals aligned to your own personal and professional development and produce a CPPD portfolio to track progress against goals. (LO2) You are required to engage in CPPD activities, these can be part of your programme of learning and/or within the workplace.  You will explore the benefits of engaging in CPPD and your choice of CPPD should be based on the goals set for your own development. (LO3) You will examine through reflective practice the transferability of skills to improve your business practice and career development opportunities. (LO4)

Within your portfolio include:

Initial analysis

  • a personal SWOT analysis of your skills in which you assess your current skill set exploring the impact this may have on your success within higher education and career progression.

Ongoing analysis and evaluation

Reflection

  • a reflection on your personal and professional development to identify the transferable skills you have developed over the duration of the course or/and within the workplace. Consider how the development of these skills will impact on your performance as a business professional

 Other relevant assessment information:

· You will need to include and reference at least 10 different sources including 4 academic textbooks and 1 academic journal to help provide supporting evidence for any assertions that you make within your CPPD portfolio. 

· You need to produce an electronic portfolio using the template provided. All work to be assessed should be submitted online through Turnitin, via the student portal. Your completed portfolio should be 3,000 words +or-/10%, this word count would not include the supporting evidence submitted as part of your portfolio.  You must include both a reference list and bibliography.LO3: Evaluate problem solving and decision-making techniques to aspects of their personal/professional development.

· The completion of your work will satisfy 75% of the assessment for the PPD1 module

CPPD plan is detailed and incorporates a range of planned activities that are fully justified enabling the achievement of goals within timescales set.  A clear link to your SWOT, goals and planned CPPD activities should be apparent.  

CPPD activities should be analysed within your evaluation to explore the benefits of engaging in these activities.  Reflective statements should be used to outline the progress made against goals set, both positive and negative outcomes should be explored. Further development opportunities may be considered.     

Your reflective practice should consider the development of transferable skills based on engagement in CPPD activities both on the course and/or within the workplace. The portability of these skills and their importance to success on the course should be explored along with career development
